Okay so i am obsessed with high fashion haute couture you name it if its in vogue i know all about it. I can afford it too. But i my personality doesn't portray. I have a good sense of fashion yes. and i would like to dress more the way i would like to as in marc jacobs or karl lagerfeld. personality wise i am more of a tom boyish. I love video games and dave chapelle and cars and metal rock screamo music. and just about everything preps don't like. and even tho i can be pretty girly...generally im more chill...and i look more girly than i really am. plus my best friends are scene/emo looking. so im asking should i still dress the way i want to regardless if its nothing the way i act. or stick to the clothes my personality reflects.
wear whatever makes you happy! i love it when someone dresses the complete opposite of their personality. it shows diversity.
Dress how you want! You like fashion. So really that's part of who you are.

dress however you want, I am pretty much in that same situation, I dress pretty girly and fashionable but when you talk to me about music I love classic rock (something probably your father likes) and old-school metal. I like talking about cars and such. And my friends dress completely different from me, and who cares? it's not as if you have to be x to be y you can be z and y if you like, it's you and no one should tell you how you should be. so go out and shop 'til you drop! good luck :)
